Updates and troubleshooting

Sparkle, Velopack, hotkeys, and failed uploads.

Updates

Mac checks via Sparkle (confirm to install). Windows downloads in the background and applies on restart. Check for Updates is in Settings. Notes: vidseen.com/changelog.

If Mac update fails, install the DMG from the download page. The menu shows the version (e.g. VidSeen 1.2.9).

Hotkeys

If a shortcut is taken, VidSeen retries and shows a warning. Dell Display Manager can steal area-select clicks — current Windows builds use a mouse hook.

No audio / no camera bubble

Check Settings toggles and OS permission for microphone, screen recording, and camera.

Upload failed

The file is still in your captures folder. Upload Video File or drag it onto the VidSeen window.
