Introducing VidSeen

Most of the explaining we do at work is the same explanation, typed again. A setup step, a bug, a walkthrough of a screen — and then the follow-up: "Did you get a chance to look at it?"

VidSeen is our answer. It is a small screen recorder that lives in the menu bar on a Mac or the system tray on Windows. Press a hotkey, record what is on your screen, and the moment you stop, a share link is on your clipboard. What makes it different is the second half: the link tells you who opened it and who watched to the end.

Why viewer tracking

A video nobody watched is a message nobody read. Tools for recording your screen are everywhere; what was missing was closing the loop. VidSeen records the first open and the completion for every viewer, whether they signed in or followed a plain link. Send a recording to a group and you can see, at a glance, who is done — and VidSeen reminds the rest on business days so you do not have to.

What is in the box

Recording and screenshots. Region, window, or full screen, with system audio and microphone. Pause and resume mid-recording. Screenshots open a markup editor for arrows, boxes, and notes.

Share pages that explain themselves. Every recording gets a transcript and an AI-written summary, so a viewer can skim before pressing play.

Mac, Windows, and web. Native apps for Apple silicon Macs and Windows (x64 and ARM64) that keep themselves updated, plus a web app for recording in the browser and reviewing what you have sent and received.

Where we are
